In its quest for excellence, the quality offered by Melos is constantly subjected to the most stringent checks in every area from production to the finished product. State-of-the-art production technology, standardized processes and continuous sampling guarantee consistent quality in terms of colour, grain and pellet size and with regard to the physical properties of our products.
Melos' high product quality is also regularly confirmed by accredited independent external laboratories and institutes. And of course, our plant - including the development, production and sales areas - has been certified in accordance with ISO 9001.
Melos | granules:
Melos EPDM granules offer a wide range of special quality properties. In addition to mechanical properties such as hardness, elasticity and wear-resistance, these also include stable colour, resistance to weather, ageing and UV rays, and flame-retardancy.
Melos® EPDM granules are created to include the special properties needed for the areas in which they will be used. For example, the elasticity of the floor coverings we design for sports areas makes them kind to joints, comfortable to run on and reduces the risk of injury. Safety tiles in playgrounds increase safety and cushion falls. Melos® EPDM granules are selected for other areas because of their non-skid effect. The special granules for filling in synthetic turf result in a product that is very similar to natural turf in terms of its shock absorption and ball bounce and roll properties.
Melos® EPDM granules are environment-friendly. The granules comply with German Soil Protection and Contaminated Sites regulations for playgrounds. No hazardous cargo is involved and labelling in accordance with the hazardous goods regulations and corresponding EU guidelines is not required. There are no known toxic effects.

The components used in the cable industry are subject to stringent standards in terms of safety and flexibility. We develop our cable compounds with your special applications in mind to ensure that they have precisely the right properties for further processing and creation of the finished product. Our environmentally friendly, halogen-free cable filling compounds offer optimum quality, exceptional flexibility and long life. Melos bedding compounds make for convenient, cost-effective processing further down the line and that includes the subsequent electrical installation.
